Anglo Japanese Treaty
Entante Chordiale
-
(1904)
This agreement was between Britian and France which improved the relationship between Anglo-French relations. The kaiser though this was a secret military alliance targeted towards Germany, which outraged him. Then, this led into the naval race.
(1902)
This was Britian’s first move to join the war, they had previously been in isolation. Britian and Japan signed this treaty to relieve some of Britian’s worry about trade, that is, the two countries would help each other in times of need. This alliance then pushed japan to go to war with Russia and, unexpectedly, Japan won.
Because of Germany double crossing everyone, Russia seeked to find a new ally after the Bulgarian Crisis. Russia and France got together because Russia did not sign the reluctance treaty.

(1875-1878)
Bulgaria was an unstable rule of land that was part of the Ottoman empire. Russia, Serbia, and Montenegro try to help them. Then Russia and Turkey went into war in hopes for getting the Bulgarian land. The Ottoman empire ended up winning this war. Then Bismarck got involved saying that Russia will keep the land that they earned, Serbia, Montenegro, and Romania will keep their independence. All of things things drew from an imperialistic mindset. The outcome of this crisis was when it put an end to the League of 3 Emperors and weakened Germany’s reputation as an innocent nation. Germany was trying to be this honest broker and this bulgarian crisis proved that- all of their alliances proved them otherwise. This event forces Germany to chose a side between Russia and Austria- Hungary- Germany chose Austria- Hungary.
Unification of Germany
This was a strong new power in all of Europe, creating tensions among the neighboring countries. There was an economic boom- science and technology, coal production, increase in military strength.
