What is trade?: We trade goods, services, and money.

Why do we trade?: Trading is basically to get more things. Some countries are scarce of some materials. Bananas aren't all grown here, we need to trade with other countries to receive fruit like bananas because our weather or climate isn't great to plant and farm bananas. Lots of countries also rely on trading and selling things to other countries.

Who are our main trading partners?: China, France, Canada, and Mexico.

CONS of trade: There's lots of domestic job loss along with loss of economic dependence. Trading also causes exploitation of people and resources like poor working conditions and environmental degradation. There has also been an increase in

Migration

Favela's are a great example of poor infrastructure. Favelas are a low income neighborhood found in Brazil, these neighborhoods have experienced government neglect and are facing the effects of it now. A lot of gangs and drug dealing has been a major effect from the poor government help.

CONS of trading: An example of trading having a bad effect on the world is the Bab El Madeb strait. This is on of the most important trading posts for the Middle East. Pre Covid-19 there's usually about 6.2 million barrels of oil coming in per day. Since the start of 2020 there has been a large increase of piracy and bombing. Houthi rebels have been attacking near the strait placing bobs under the water to explode ships. The security of the strait is very fragile at the moment and traders can only come in during the day.
