Penicillin (amoxicillin, ampicillin, methicillin, benzyl-penicillin etc.)
Mode of Action: Prevents production of enzymes required for cross-linking polypeptides in the cell wall, preventing the full formation of the cell wall.
Treatments and uses of this antibiotic can be used to treat infections, stomach ulcers, pneumonia, strep throat, meningitis, syphilis and gonorrhea.
Side Effects : Diarrhea, abd pain, colitis, and dark sore tongue, etc.

Mode of Action: Binds to an enzyme involved in folic acid synthesis that is required for cell growth
Treatments and uses of this antibiotic can be used to treat bacterial infections. Can be used for urinary tract infections (UTIs), bronchitis, eye infections, bacterial meningitis, etc.
Side Effects: Diarrhea, nausea, skin rash, headaches, and dizziness.
