Migration
Syria, Syria is very important to migration since it is one of the most immigrated countries in the world. People are leaving constantly because of the violence it is a very dangerous place right now. 
Refugee, A refugee is when someone has to leave their country because of how violent it is. Their are multiple reasons why they have to leave it can be because of their religion or race. This is important because countries have to be prepared to host the new comers.
Undocumented Immigrant. A Undocumented Immigrant is when someone is violating the immigration law into that country. This important because countries need to know how to stop these people from entering.
UNHRC. UNHRC stands for The United Nations Refugee Agency. The The United Nations Refugee Agency helps immigrants relocate because of the conditions they are living in their own country. This agency is very important to people because they need to know where to go
Immigrant. A Immigrant
is when someone leaves their own country and live in a foreign country. This is important because these people need to find a new home.
Asylum, Asylum means someone has protection from another country so don't get hurt.This is important because when you have asylum and that means they are out of danger.
Documented Immigrant, A Documented Immigrant means that they came from another country and they have the right to be there. This is important because when you are documented you can't be told to go back.
Creative Destruction, Creative Destruction
is when a new idea comes about and it goes in to circulation. This is important because we need new ideas to innovate the industry.
Globalization and Trade
Exports. A export is when you make something in your country and you decide to trade or sell to another country. Like say I want to sell a cup to china I can do that they can either trade me something in return or they can pay me.
Globalization. Globalization is how countries and people of the world interact and integrate. Globalization is important because countries usually smaller ones only have one money rescource and that is exporting.
Services
Services are like legal services. Services are also things we trade it could be financial services. Services are important because countries need them to be able to do things like know how to handle a situation that they wouldn't know how to handle other wise.
capital/investment, Investment is where you can put money down on something but you can do it overseas as I can invest in some China company. I can also invest in property across countries.
Scarcity
Scarcity means when there is not enough one thing. This is important because when there are scarce countries are likely to trade. So when the US doesn't have enough of chocolate for everybody to buy that is called scarcity.
Container ship, A container ship carries a lot of goods. When the US trades with China and we want to send something over this is what we send it in. This is very important because we needed a way to trade and it needed to be easy so we created Container Ships so it would be easier.
Specialization, Specialization is when there are not a lot of a things like skiing or the ocean and you specialize it so you can make more money. This is really important because it brings a lot of money in to the country's and states
Imports. Import is were another country sells use something for us to have. So if China traded us a car that could be considered a import. Imports are important because we gain a lot of things from it.
Trade, Trading is when a country decides to trade with another country. Like this cup, this cup from China was probably traded for something in exchange. Trading is important because things would be a lot more expansive if they were made in the US.
Global supply chain, A global supply chain is when a item is made in different places. Like when a chair is made maybe half of it was made in china and the other half made in India. Global supply chain is really important because it can help relations between countries.
Losers from globalization, The losers of globalization are going to be the smaller and the poor countries. They lose because they don't have a lot to export and when they don't have a lot to export they can't make money.
Balance of trade, Balance of trade means the difference between the exports and the imports. So when the US exports 9 cups and we import 8 chairs the difference is 1. Knowing our Balance of trade is important because we can see how much money we are spending.
Canada
Canada is very Important because we are next door neighbors. We need to stay in good relations with them so one way to do that is by trade. Canada is the country we export the most things too.
Winners from globalization, The winners from trade are usually the rich. This is because it is very expansive to export and import things you need to be very wealthy to do it.
Fair trade, Fair trade is an organzation that helps pay the hard labor workers more. So the people that work the hardest get payed more. That means the items with a certain symbol cost more then similar items with out one.

China, China is the country we import the most goods to. Like I have a cup made from China I probably wouldn't have it if china wasn't the country we import the most to.
Goods, Goods are things that are made and can be traded. This cup from China is considered good because it was traded here. Goods are important because I wouldn't have a lot of things now if it weren't for goods.
Comparative advantage, Comparative advantage is when a state or country specializes in something no one else does. Like skiing in Colorado, it is a very big skiing state. This is important because this brings a lot of revenue into the states and countries.
Choke point, a choke point where a lot things pass through. So when a bunch of ships pass each other in a frequent area that is called a choke point. The panamal Canal is a choke point. This is were a lot of goods pass through.
Urbanization
Megacity, A megacity is a city with 10 million people living in it. This is important because these cities are getting bigger and require more jobs. New york city is a megacity.
Primate City. A city where the population is at least the population of the second largest city. London Paris is a example. It is important because these smaller cities are going to keep growing and produce more jobs.
Suburban. A residential area outside of the city. A town called Evanston is a suburb. Suburbs are important because a lot of jobs are in the bigger city and people live their because it is cheaper.
Infrastructure. The basic physical and organizational structure of a society. Public transportation is an example. This is important because our lives would be chaos with out it.
Arab Spring. A movement spread through cell phones. People in the middle east did it to rebel against a dictator. A Arab spring is important because it helps the people with being free and running their own country.
Carrying capacity, The number of people in an environment. An example is if there are a lot of people in a park you can count that as a carrying capacity.
Favela, A favela is a area of clumped up houses that don't a form of government. This is important because it shows that people can run them selves with out a form of government.
Gentrification. Gentrification is when a district is renovated to be nice so wealthier people can move in and help that district make more money. Gentrification is important because the areas that need renovating usually has a high crime rate so when you make nicer the crime rate will go down .
Vancouver, Vancouver is a great image of gentrification it shows how it changed from a poor community to a wealthy middle class. This is important because it shows how gentrification works.
Rural to urban migration- pull factors. What attracts people. Family ties and excitement for the family. This matters because people are going to be able to grow more food for use.
Rural to urban migration – push factors. The push factors are lack of jobs and health care. This important because the more people that move to urban places that means that there is going to be more jobs.
Rural, there are less buildings and more farms usually. These rural areas are important because this is where we get a lot of our food and it is important to keep getting food.
Urban. Urban means city. There are lots of buildings and houses in urban cities. Like Boulder is an Urban city. Urban cities are important because this can be where a lot of jobs are.
Brain Drain, Brain Drain Is when the smarter people from the rural areas decide to leave to get better jobs in urban areas. This is important because there needs to be more jobs in urban areas.
