Planning an activity
Activity : something learners do that involves them using the language to achieve some specific outcome
A complete lesson : a coherent sequence of learner-targeted tasks
focus on what the learners do (instead of the teacher) to create a more genuinely useful lesson
Types of arrangements
individual work
pairwork
small groups (3-6)
large groups
whole class : mingle
whole class : plenary

at speed, with tight time limit
when a group finishes, the members join other groups
require compromise / consensus / single answer
