Leaf Hammock
In the wild bettas have much room to swim in, but generally stay near the top. By placing the leaf near the suface it will provide a nice place for a betta to rest
Silk Plants
Silk plants are a great place for betta to hide, most silk plants have soft edges, but still be sure to look for sharp edges that could harm a betta. Silk plants are also easy to maintain.
Live Plants
Live plants are a great thing for an aquarium, they provide excellent hiding for your betta, but that isn't all they do. Live plants also produce oxygen and absorb harmful ammonia and nitrates. If you are looking for a natural aesthetic for your tank live plants are perfect.
Moss Balls
Moss balls are an awesome addition to any tank. They only require light and water, and they absorb waste from your tank. This is great for water changes. Another great thing about moss balls is that sometimes bettas will sleep on them.
Tank
-
Depending on the tank, about half of the water should be replaced almost weekly.
-
Tankmates
Good tankmates for a betta are: any type of tetra, cory catfish, ghost shrimp, african dwarf frog, snails or a kuhli loach.
Never put two male betta fish in the same tank, no matter the size they will fight each other.
