Personal Empathy Mind Map
Parents (my Mom)
My whole family, including myself, can sometimes be unappreciative and show a lack of empathy towards my Mom.
She takes time out of her schedule to take us where we need to be and she always makes sure that we are cheerful.
Close ones (my best friend)
During tough times, her parents put extra pressure and work on her shoulders, but they never thanked her.
I sometimes forget that she is going through her own problems, and I overload her with mine.
A few people from my Middle School - those who are different (physically or mentally)
One boy from my Middle School who was physically disabled was looked at weirdly by many. He's not able to control his disabilities, so I think he should've been looked at like a regular boy. There is no reason to be different around those who are unique.
One girl at my Middle School loved singing and wasn't afraid to show people who she really was. But many people didn't accept it and instead started rumors behind her back. She was only trying to express her hobbies and emotions, so I think she deserves more empathy.
Doctors
During COVID, many doctors have to risk their own health in order to help others. Courage and bravery are needed in order to take these actions. Many don't realize that tough decisions are involved in these acts. So, doctors should be empathized, especially during these hard times.
Teenagers
Parents believe that teens should be mature and responsible enough to take care of themselves
School becomes much more stressful because of the workload and future decisions
At just one glance, teenagers are placed into a category that is based off of what they look like and how grown up they are
