Migration
Immigrant
Documented Immigrant
This is one who has been allowed to stay in the country and is able to live and stay in that country. This is the safest way for people to migrate to a certain country , since they can't be deported
Undocumented Immigrant
This person has gotten into the country illegally and has the chance of being deported to their original country, no matter the situation. This is an issue for countries and migration, seeming that they can be millions of people illegally in a country. And could cause an increase of people who are homeless.
Immigrant is a person who wants to live in a country permanently, this is one of the main causes of migration, being that there are some spots that have a ton of people travelling to a certain countries, that then have to send these people back because of how many there are.
-
Mexico has a big immigration problem because of all the people who pass through Mexico or come from Mexico that try to go to America. This is an example of Migration impacting people negatively due to America having to deport a ton of people who illegally cross, and Mexico has to divert people to make sure that there is no one trying to illegally pass.

Asylum
Host Country
UNHCR
The United Nations Refugee Agency is responsible for helping refugees make it safely to a country and help them find asylum. These are a very helpful tool for Refugees and migration as it makes the process of helping refugees, a lot more safe and easier.
This is a place that allows refugees to migrate. This is a key factor for migration as it is the place that all refugees go to. If there was no Host Countries, then refugees would be IDP's
Asylum Seeker
This is a person seeking shelter in a Host Country. Migration of refugees could cause millions of asylums to be taken up and could cause a shortage of asylum and refugees could be homeless.
This is shelter given to host countries fro the purpose of refugees to use them. This is a key factor to Migration, as if there is none of these for Refugees, it would literally cause millions of people to be homeless.
Refugee
IDP
An IDP is an Internationally Displaced person who is forced to leave their country, but has not left yet. This is the beginning process for migration and could tell Host Countries to prepare to help the new refugees.
A refugee is a person who has fled a country. Unlike Immigrants these people have fled because there is a threat of death (Race, religion, political ideals). If a country causes a massive refugee crisis than Host countries will have no Asylums to put these people in, causing some refugees to migrate even further, just to find a place to live.
-
Migration
This is simply the movement from one country to another country. This can be for a multitude of reasons, but the main types are refugees and Immigrants.
Arab Spring
Syria was a big location for this as it caused a civil war and forced a big Syrian refugee crisis for Host Countries. This is a major reason for why Migration of Refugees can be such a political issue.
This was a spring in the early 2010's in the Arab area that started a revolution against their government treating them unfairly. This ties to migration due to how it could cause millions of people do be displaced due to riots and threats.
Migrant
This is a person who temporarily moves to another country because of issues back home or for work. This can be an issue for Migration as they can cause refugees or immigrants unable to find a home, because of all these migrants.

-
Primate City
An issue with primate cities is they have too much control over economics and politics and that they can be the only area that get Urbanization whilst the other areas are suburban or even rural.
A primate city is a place where the population in that city is at least twice the population of the second largest city. These are mainly massive areas of Urbanization and can be seen to help with economic gain and spread Urbanization
Examples can be London, England, Mexico City, Mexico, and Paris, France.

Rural
Rural to Urban Migration
With more migration to the Urban areas from the rural, it impacts the infrastructure due to the amount of people moving and causing a delay in the spread of Urbanization.
Brain Drain
Brain drain is where people with exciting career opportunities are leaving to urban areas because of no options there impacting rural areas because their loosing possible funding, and loosing there possibilities of Urbanization
This is the opposite of a city because of how much land there is and how spread out people really are, this is the exact opposite of what Urbanization is trying to do.
