Conventions of an opening sequence
Company logo- Acts as a mark of quality and establishes the genre of the film, as most productions stick to a certain genre
Studio information- Eg. Producers and Directors, often displayed in order of importance
Title- Title screens used to showcase name of film in creative ways, can give the plot of the film away.
Introduction to Characters- Helps introduce the character to the target audience. Aim for the audience to either relate or react to the Character.
Sound- Non-Diegenetic sound is almost always used in an opening, as sound is key to setting the tone of the film.
Narration and text- Creates an insight to the audience to let them know what's happening.
Varied camera angles
Lighting- Can introduce the tone/genre of the film
