History Lessons.
H Lesson 2
*15 minutes: Poor Victorian's homes, back to back living spaces. Hand outs to be stuck with observations in back of blue written workbook. Discuss with class and write down observations on what they see in the picture, on the whiteboard for them to copy.*5 minutes: Recap lesson one by answering questions verbally together as a class.
Ding, Ding, Ding hands up.*15 minutes: Read through Set 1 and Set 2 sources with the class and check they have absorbed the information through a memory game. *5 minutes: Start on their own, answer between 2-3 question each of set 1 and 2. Provide extra help to H & J assign any member of staff who are available.
- Stick in work sheets and tidy up.
*Get out blue written work book and Victorian workbook.*5 minutes: Start by reviewing sources. *15 minutes: set 1 & 2 questions. 2 values to the pupils who manages to do more than 3 questions for each set. Values must be a surprise. 1 value for those he complete task stated.
- 5 minutes: Watch Horrible Histories.
*10 minutes: Discuss with the class why the poor were so poor? Make a list.*10 minutes: What you think you did well for lesson 2? What new historical fact you have learnt? What do you need to improve?*Clear away work.
H Lesson 3
*Get out blue written work book and Victorian workbook.
*10 minutes: go through and discuss as a class the first 4 slides of presentation.
*10 minutes: watch video twice and have them make a mind map for notes.
*5 minutes: answer questions together as a class.
*10 minutes: watch next video twice and make more notes. Grid picture notes for H and J.
*10 minutes: start making a plan for your report on the conditions for children in the mine.
*Get out blue written work book and Victorian workbook.
*5 minutes: Review.
*30 minutes: to write the report. Provide them with a template.
*10 minutes: What went well. Tidy up.
H Lesson 4
*Get out blue written work book and Victorian workbook.
- 15 minutes: Go through presentation, check class has understood information.
*5 minutes: watch video on how to do diagram, by Mr. Sure.*20 minutes: Individual create their own diagram. Help them individually. Give out surprise values to those who complete the task well.*5 minutes: W.W.W
