Cities
Harappans cared about order, organization, and cleanliness in their cities
All the Harappan cities shared similar features
Construction, Society, Government, Religion, and Cutlure
Harappan leaders carefully designed each city with a pattern
It is assumed that shops lined the main streets in these cities
Housing was much better than others during that time
The sanitation system was very sophisticated
Covered drains lined the city streets
Many buildings were made from brick and were a pretty good size
Richer citizens had bigger houses with extra additions such as courtyards
This helped make Harappan society consistent with their cities
Harappan society eventually collapsed
Although Historians have many theories, there is no confirmed reason
Evidence of violence, pludering and banditry was found and some believe that is the reason behind the fall
Evidence of deforestation, increased flooding and irrigation were also found and others believe the Harappans exausted the land
They used up all of the natural resources that they needed to survive.
Rainfall supposedly decreased greatly leading to a important river drying up
Eventually this led to the a huge drop in economy
Many Harappans also moved to other parts of India during whatever crisis happened
