She promises to take care of me and also to give me emotional support and advise me on how to life a healthy future (how to be cautious, how to spend my time wisely, and how to react to current events). She puts it into action by always asking about my day and helping me when I need her advice

Zoey (Friend)
Zoey has promised that she will be there for me if I want to chat, need advice, or if I have nothing to do and just want to interact with someone. If I have a question about something for school, she will quickly help me out and I'll do the same for her. We usually text 6 days a week and it's always super easy to talk to her and it helps me not feel lonely during quarantine.

Divisha (Friend)
Divisha has promised to be someone I can talk to when I'm sad because she has a cheery attitude and can make me feel better and think more positively. We ate lunch together every day at school and she would tell me about all the awesome things going on with her family and with school and would make me feel happier and more grateful that I have positive moments too

Maeve (Friend)
Maeve has promised to be a very kind and generous friend who will always love spending time with me. She eats lunch with me as much as she can during in-person learning and is a very peaceful presence. Talking with me during lunch and discussing how our days went is how she shows me that she likes to hang out with me.

Rob Westerhoff (Uncle)
My uncle Rob has promised me that he will treat me like everybody else and he would be on my side when no one else is. I am the youngest in my whole family, so all my aunts and uncles (except him) treat me like a little kid and think I can't handle responsibility. Uncle Rob is the only one that is always super kind and consistently makes me feel loved.

An example of this is when one of my aunts decided to keep her giant, mean dogs outside where all of us were hanging out even though she knew I've been scared of big dogs my whole life. Uncle Rob was the only one that sat inside with me and made me feel like someone actually cared.
Shawn Westerhoff (Dad)
My dad has promised to show me that he cares by doing things I like that nobody else will do with me like going to theme parks, the mall, and rock climbing gyms. (Obviously he can't do it anymore but we will when quarantine ends). In the summer and fall of 2019, he would take me to Great America at least 2 times a month and we would have a really great time together. Nobody else in my family would do this because my mom doesn't like crowded places where she is bored and my sister can't drive

Waja (Pet cat)
Waja has promised me that he will always make me feel loved and needed. It's important to me that I know I am needed because it gives me a purpose in life. He shows me I'm needed by trying to find me and showing me so much love. He loves it when I pet his belly and is almost always purring. Nobody in my family has ever met a kinder cat

Charlie (Pet dog)
Charlie has promised to show me that I am welcome in his life and that he is grateful to be part of my family. He does this by always acting extremely friendly to us. Every day when he sees me and my family, he gets super excited and does these little jumps and begs us to sit down and pet him
