Meaningful Choices
Although this game can be seen as quite simplistic in first glance, there are actually clever choices the player can make to assure he traverses the platforms as efficiently as possible
After a user plays the game a few times they will start to see a pattern whereby they can wait in a safe spot for the game to break so that they can safely fix the game and get back in control.
There is definitely a ton of room for improvement in this category like additions of different routes the player can take (they are some options but more would definitely be beneficial) to either skip the harder sections or just find a better route through them.
Balance
This is one of the sections that could most definitely use some improvement, the mechanics that cause the function of loosing control are quite random and happen at some really bad times, this would cause the players to get frustrated and annoyed, perhaps a fix could be that those mechanics happen less often and at specific times while still keeping the randomness.
We could make it so the loosing control happens only when the player is in contact with the floor to prevent the game breaking whilst the player is in midair.
Usability & Learnability
The basic mechanics of the game are very easy to learn, but in order for the player to move they have to grab ahold of the joystick, and we could make it clearer that the player has to do so.
With the game needing coins to continue, we could inform the player beforehand so that there is no confusion during the game. Other than that, the game is quite basic and they must control a hand that moves the joystick in tern moving the in-game character.
While the player players the game a few times they would quickly get accustomed to the controls and the tasks they are set to complete.
Aesthetics
Needs improvement
Make use of a colour pallet for ease on the eyes
Create a consistent style through the game
Additions of in-game audio that fits the theme
Enemy animations can be improved upon
Up to par aesthetics
Makes use of some nice colours, but can be matched betetr
Good looking models, characters sprites, Backrounds, and enemy characters
*Has a good old school "arcdey" feel to it
