My grandpa was a really great person. Someone who cared about everyone around him, a compassionate individual, and a person who always wanted to see people smile. My mom would always tell me about their closeness together, , his humorous personality, and the pain he would feel when he saw someone getting hurt. Like I said before, the people close to you never say a promise through words, they show it through action. Throughout the time I was able to see him and talk to him, he always had a promise to make sure his children, like my mom, would be able to live a decent life, keep them away from harm, and talking to everyone with an open mind and open arms. Sadly, he passed away two years ago, and I still have some fond memories that I had when he was alive. He will always be someone I look up to and strive to be like.
When my grandparents were living with my family during the time I was born, he was always there with me and adored me. When I used to cry often from pain, he would always ask my mom why I wasn't being took to the hospital, which embodied the deep love he had for everyone important to him, including me. He never wanted to see anyone hurt, let alone myself.
