amoxicillin
severe hypersensitivity, renal failure, hepatic failure, pancytopenia
resolution of clinical signs of infection
acute otitis media, lower respiratory tract infection, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, streptococcal pharyngitis, ENT infection, infection of skin and/or subcutaneous tissue, infection of genitourinary system, H. pylori GI tract infection
severe diarrhea, dark urine, yellowing of skin or eye, unusual bruising or bleeding, blistering rash, or SOB

Motrin
CBC, LFTs, SCr, fecal occult blood tests if chronic use; seek medical attention if severe skin rash, black tarry stools, chest pains, yellowing of the eyes or skin, or change in urination
naproxen
take with food or milk to decrease GI upset
Common SE: none; Rare: SJS, GI bleeding, thrombosis, elevated LFTs, acute renal failure, CHF, aplastic anemia
osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute gout, fever in adults and children, pain in adults

Naprosyn
severe skin rash, black tarry stools, chest pain, yellowing of eyes or skin, carnage in urination; monitor CBC, LFTs, SCr, fecal occult blood test, BP (if patient has HTN) if chronic use
cephalexin
infection of skin and/or subcutaneous tissue, osteomyelitis, otitis media, respiratory tract infection, UTI, streptococcal pharyngitis
first-generation cephalosporin
SJS, renal failure, severe hypersensitivity, anemia, neutropenia, seizure
resolution of signs and symptoms of infection
Keflex
seek medical attention if decreased urination, blistering skin rash or extreme fatigue, unusual bruising or bleeding, SOB
fluoxetine
depression, OCD, panic disorder, PMDD, bulimia nervosa
SSRI antidepressant
take with meals and in the morning; avoid activities requiring mental alter ness or coordination until drug effects are realized; symptomatic improvement may not be seen for several weeks, while adverse effects often present in the first week of therapy; report worsening depression, suicidal ideation, unusual changes in behavior, or unusual bleeding; do not drink alcohol or use NSAIDs or ASA while taking drug

instruct patient on inhaler technique, including priming and shaking well before use; wash mouthpiece and air dry thoroughly at least one a week; contact prescriber is more albuterol is needed to control symptoms than usual as this may indicate acute asthma exacerbation; do not use more frequently than recommended; DPI does not require shaking or priming but does require deep inhalation for use
Common: nausea, pharyngitis, rhinitis, throat irritation, upper respiratory tract infections; Rare: paradoxical bronchospasm, pulmonary edema, atrial fibrillation
resolution of asthma symptoms and PFTs
use alternative therapy or seek emergency treatment if paradoxical bronchospasm occurs
