Styles of Sovereignty
Confederacy: is a system of government in which sovereign states delegate power to a central government for specific purposes. The government of a confederation acts on the member states, not on the citizens of those states.
Federal: Power is shared by a powerful central government and states or provinces that are given considerable self-rule, usually through their own legislatures.
Unitary: is a system of political organization with a central supreme government which holds the authority over and makes the decisions for subordinate local governments.
