This also shows how Scout cares about Jem and how they interact in daily life. They banter and converse a lot, but Scout also knows a lot about her brother and cared about his safety.

These are some of the dialogue between Dill and Scout. In there, you can see how Scout is curious, but can sometimes come off as rude and naive. However, she is initially nicer to Dill than Jem was and gave him advice when crossing the fence.

This may be an indication of racism, how Calpurnia was a black woman who never spoke about whites. Scout always argues with her but the banter is one sided, and Atticus always takes Cappurnia's side. It also shows Scout's adventurous and reckless side.

The dialogue and thought shows how well she knew her brother, and how she knew he cared about her. She teases him as well, showing their sibling banter.
