TAKING PART
PARTICIPATE
can do by start agreeing and ask for clarification (if you are not courage enough).

PREPARE
study the topic before entering the discussion or you might not be able to participate very well.
ask to answer your inquiries.

LISTEN
focus - try to find main ideas.
try to relate with what you have read / study,
be open-minded.
GIVING SUGGESTIONS
in certain certainties, you may need to voice your suggestions - express your certainty / uncertainty.
ask for other opinions.
EXAMPLE:as far as i'm concerned.. / for me... / i would say that...
AGREEING AND DISAGREEING
means that, you have to give your own opinion supported with reason and evidence.
when you want to say your disagree, you should try to disagree politely, by first acknowledging their opinion before saying why you disagree.
EXAMPLE: i agree to a point but... / but don't you think... / i'm not so sure about that / that's what i think too...
CLARIFYING
there will be moments when you are confuse, so instead of being clueless, you should ask for clarifying.
to clarify means to make something clearer and so the response should help to make the information clearer and easier for the listener to understand.
EXAMPLE: i don't quite follow that, can you explain again? / could you tell me more about that? / sorry, i don't understand what you are talking about.

to hear various thoughts from different perspectives.

INDIVIDUAL ACTION
support your opinions with evidences.
listen to others.
allow other to finish speak - don't interrupting.
encourage other to speak
don't be afraid to being honest with your ideas.
make your points clearly but briefly.
GROUP ACTION
have clear aims - so everyone know what the outcomes are.
have timetable - have time for discussions.
sum up the conclusion at the end of the discussion.
make everyone contribute by saying something.
