One afternoon 11 year old Addie came home with hip pain
Could've potentially been from her sports practice
She was involved in lot’s of physical activities which involves
lots of people
Potential internal and open wounded injuries
Bodily fluids
Mom gives her Ibuprofen
Addie worsens throughout the night
Addie's mom takes her to the local hospital and is diagnosed with a virus.
Her pain spreads and fever gets worse
Addie and her mom go to a children's hospital
Was given antibiotics
Diagnosed with pneumonia,
The staph damaged her lungs so bad she had to be put on ECMO for life support
She worsened again and was infected with Stenotrophomonas

infected boils all over her body
Was probably staph bacteria cause by perhaps picking at a scab
Can be connected because since she does sports there's a chance she would've gotten a scab and picked at while having dirty hands

During one of her sports practices she could've gotten an open wound
Addie picked her scab which could've caused an infection inside her body
Addie came home with hip pain after practice
Addie takes Ibuprofen
Addie gets a fever and pain worsens
Addie went to a children's hospital and diagnosed with pneumonia and other rare inffection
Addie was given antibiotics many times
but it never seemed to help much
Addie was diagnosed with a
super bug
(the cause of all her symptoms)
