The Bio diversity of polar regions isn't very diverse, with flora and fauna being somewhat scarse
flora are very scares due to the lack of open and fertile soil. most flora in these regions are composed of mossy shrubs and small plants
Fauna have evolved in very similar yet unique ways, they're rare due to the harsh environment of their habitat being a prime example of survival of the fittest
