- - - - On Halloween, 1968, in the small town of Mill Valley, Pennsylvania, three teen friends, Stella, Auggie, and Chuck, prank bully Tommy Milner. When Tommy and his gang chase them in retaliation, the trio flees to a drive-in movie theater, where a young drifter named Ramón hides them in his car. They invite Ramón to explore a local "haunted house" that once belonged to the wealthy Bellows family, who helped found Mill Valley. Inside, they find a book of horror stories written by Sarah Bellows, who allegedly committed suicide in the house.
    - - The movie is practically a history of a kid (Andy Barkley) and his doll (Chucky), but the doll is possessed by the soul of a serial killer, who tries changes body with a human and maybe, continue with his crimes.
    - - The plot follows Kristen (Liv Tyler) and James (Scott Speedman) whose stay at a vacation home is disrupted by three masked criminals who infiltrate the home. The screenplay was inspired by two real-life events: the Manson family Tate murders, a multiple homicide, as well as a series of break-ins that occurred in Bertino's neighborhood as a child.
