Forces
Types of forces
-
Gravity: non-contact force, the result in the interaction between two masses. For an object on Earth, you can always count it is always present.
-
-
-
Spring: is exerted by compressed or stretched spring with an object attached to it.
-
-
Definitions
-
-
-
-
Balanced forces: equal forces acting on an object in opposite directions, net force equals out.
-
More defentions
Coefficient of friction: measurement of the degree of slip resistance on a floor surface and ranges from 0 to 1. The higher the number, the less slippery the surface.
Newton: A unit of measure that equals the force required to accelerate 1 kilogram of mass at 1 meter per second per second.
-
-
terminal velocity: the constant velocity of a falling object when the force of air resistance is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to the force of gravity.
Newtons Laws
-
-
Newton's first law: an object in motion will remain in motion and an object at rest will remain at rest unless acted upon by a force.
