The Syrophoenician Woman - Coggle Diagram
The Syrophoenician Woman
Plot Overview
When Jesus arrives in Tyre he retreats to a house in order to avoid being seen by anyone in the town. He was approached by a Syrophoencian woman who was following him for some time. She wanted Jesus to cure her daughter of an unclean spirit. At first Jesus was unwilling to do so even implying that she was not worthy. However, her response was one of faith and motherly love in which turned Jesus in her favor and resulted in him performing a miracle and healing her daughter.

Reflection
There were three main points to the narrative that I found most compelling. The first being, the change in geographical location from the sea of Galilee which shows mark isn’t well informed about his travel routes. Marks Gospels gathered information is recent and fresh to the time being which leads the raw material to be a source of information for other gospels.
The Syrophoenician Woman showed a lot of faith, strength, and beliefs that eventually convinced Jesus to cure her daughter. This shows that any person who has a strong connection to God and their beliefs will reach their goal.
