1. Sensory Motor
Birth to one-month old
Lifting their heads only briefly
Spreading their finger
Wriggling the finger and toes
One to four-months old
Gaining control and balance in their head, neck

Five to eight-months old

Developing leg coordination

2. Preoperational Stage
Six to seven years old
Centration - The tendency to focus on only one aspect of a situation at one time
Egocentrism - Child's inability to see a situation from another person's point of view.
Pretend/Play - Toddlers often pretend to be people they are not like policeman and play these roles
3. Concrete Operational Stage
Six to thirteen years old
Understanding logics
Understanding of reversibility or awareness that actions can be reversed
Ability to concentrate on many aspects of a situation at the same time
