Unit 10 Assignment Task 1.2 Factors Which affect children's Mathematical development Lukas Fallon
Nature
"Dyscalculia:
Is a specific and persistent difficulty in understanding numbers which can lead to a diverse range of difficulties with mathematics. It will be unexpected in relation to age, level of education and experience and occurs across all ages and abilities."(Jarrett, 2019) However this can be helped through tools, resources and training.
Brain Damaged
Brain damage can affect mathematical development as it can ether influence how children concentration which is is also called " Symptoms of Concentration Deficit Disorder
Children with CDD tend to be lethargic, move slowly and have trouble staying alert. Youngsters may stare excessively and appear to be in a fog. Social withdrawal and slow information processing are other potential signs of CDD." (ADHD vs CDD (Concentration Deficit Disorder), 2021)
Which in turn will also jeopardise the time they can forces on developing those skills.

Nurture
Parents cares or other People
Nurture will have a great impact as when people dislikes or can not salfe or may not be able to explain this will affect the child's ability to learn and understand math.(The Six Principles of Nurture, 2020)
This can be an influence bout at home and in the setting this is why it will be so important to work in partnership others as they can help each other to promote their knowledge and confidence.
Prior knowledge and understanding
As already megaphoned in nurture the prior knowledge of the parents and carers will affect the children mathematical development and understanding as people that dont understand mathematical problems will not be able to teach children.
Resources
May be broken or missing
The people or parents may not know to to use resources
Will enhance the learning
Will help children understand better and easy-er.
May be the only way they can learn.
May confuse them.
Practical experience
Experience will help the child experience of learning
Not enogth experiences may affect the people style of teaching and therfore the child's learning
Level of Language Development
Children that do not have the required level of Language Development will have trobbels understanding mathematical principles
Children may misunderstand Sutton aspects
This also means is also supported through Noam Chomsky’s Theory of Language Acquisition
That sayed that children are born with an natural way to learn language witch is called LAD Device and if this is affected in anyway it will affect the child ability to learn maths as they will not be able to separate the different terms.
as they may not have the understanding of mathematical vocabulary.
