- - - - Similar to Medusa, both Circe and Medusa are relieved towards the end of their lives, or during death. They finally don't have to worry about their fears and past.
      - Differences, to Medusa, Circe as a person fought through more than she did. Circe has gone through more detrimental events, being casted away from her family, killing monsters, creating monsters.
- - - - Both Odysseus and Circe, end their journeys satisfied. Odysseus had just finished his journey to get home to Ithaka, where he is back with Penelope. At the end of Circe's life, she becomes mortal and lives life as one, with Telemachus. Circe is finally free of her powers and duties.
        
        Odysseus and Circe, in the Odyssey get together. Before Odysseus makes it back home, Circe keeps him on her island as pleasure, and does fall in love with him.
    - - Both main characters, Medusa and Circe, both deal with personal challenges. Circe is not found to be a part of her family, and has difficulty finding her identity. Medusa, is a loner, that has trouble getting to be with people.
        
        Both Circe and Medusa, find that hurting others did not benefit them. Circe, to an extent feels bad for the people she has hurt, Scylla. She is scared that Scylla will kill more people that have to go through her. Medusa, feels bad for the people that do see her, she can't do anything to turn them back from stone to human.
    - - Odysseus and Medusa, have trouble finding themselves. Odysseus will forever be that hero, that goes to all these battles and wins. Medusa is the one who turns people into stone.
        
        The pleasure tends to fade away. Odysseus learns that he gets home, not without cost. Medusa learns that her pleasure and happiness only will happen when she dies.
  - - - All the books, all go through a journey aspect. Medusa, goes through the emotional journey and suffering, that she will never be able to be with another person without turning them into stone. Odysseus, reads about his journey on Agamemnon's ship, how he gets home and what he experiences. Circe, goes through a self-development journey, from nymph to witch, then lastly to mortal
    - - It seems that Circe grows up harder than Medusa and Odysseus. Odysseus is already a God, has much already handed to him. Medusa had to earn her status. This is what makes her journey worthwhile. Odysseus, unlike the others, already knows what his future holds. Medusa, mostly has a self battle, she dislikes that she turns people away, unlike Odysseus who is handsome and could be with any woman
