A lot of Gen Z have senses of dark humor to cope with what we see as a cruel and unforgiving world that the older generations find off-putting.
We have also experienced 2 major recessions in our lives and a lot of us haven't even graduated high school. Baby Boomers experienced financial stability and the post WW2 economic boom
Due to the rise of social media and changing trends, many people are seeing the massive divides between the younger and older generations. Idealologies and experiences are very different from Gen Z to Millenials because of age, and major life experiences. Gen z is the first generation not to remember 9/11 and experience the rise in school shootings.
