Taboo - Mental health is often seen as a taboo topic, and thus not talked about nearly enough.
Stigma

The fear of the public to identify with any of these illnesses, despite the fact that acceptance leads to both an understanding, and to treatment
Medical
Some mental health issues can manifest in physical symptoms, such as heart palpitations, auditory hallucinations, and bodily fatigue.
It is difficult to decipher which illness one may have based on these symptoms, as they may be parallel to many other mental illnesses under the same umbrella.
Some may find issue with seeking medical help for their mental health, as is the result of an ill health care system,or their own personal stigmas.
Psychological
Mental health is often a physical change in ones brain synapses, or chemicals released in their brain.
While many may believe mental health is a cry for help, or attention; it is important to note that it is a real psychological disorder that many cannot control.
The study of psychological history in regards to mental health is crucial in understanding, as well as being able to treat others.
Personal
Hereditary
Hereditary mental illnesses may strike twice in a person's life, first by how they are raised surrounded with said subject, and then how the illness takes effect onto their mind.

This may lead to an internalized manifestation of symptoms, and results in suicide among youth.
