Discourse:
Systems of meaning and knowledge comprised of concepts, beliefs, and ideas that, created by people, encompass and give meaning to our realities as well as dictate power relations in society. Discourses, and the meanings embedded in them, are never static, they are adaptable to change, and, as such, can be used in resistance.
