Norm: Each individual in the class respect all ideas given in class and do not criticize anybody's ideas or thoughts.
Criticizing others in a hostile way can sometimes be vitally harmful, for you are exerting negative energy at another human being. In this way you are not being polite to others.
Having opinions indicates that the student is capable of taking a stand. When one student is defending his/her viewpoint during a debate or class, we should appreciate his/her courage for standing up.
It is important especially for creating a positive class climate because rejecting ideas from other students is a selfish behavior and we should be living together under a neighborly environment.
You can make adjustments to revise the idea came up by the prior person instead of directly judging it and making that person feel bad. Constructive criticism serves as a good example.
