China has been the source of many innovations, scientific discoveries and inventions like Gunpowder, paper, printing, and the compass are sometimes called the Four Great Inventions of Ancient China. Mesopotamia people developed many technologies, some examples-- metalworking, glassmaking, textile weaving, food control, water storage and irrigation. They also developed the first written language, cuneiform.
