Ancient Egypt
Location
Government: People would have to kiss the floor as the approached the king. A pharaoh would have to kiss the royal leg.(Hart 12)

Art
The art in Ancient Egypt was mostly people and gods.35
Location: In the text it said the Egyptians lived on the banks of the nile river or in various canals.
Writing: Scribs were near the top of Egyptian society. If jr. scribs didn't do their task then they would be punished.

Writing: In the text it said that the Oracle bone was was a bone that was scorched until it would crack. After scorching, the cracks were read and questions were answered by ancestors. After the questions were answered they carved in the ox shoulder bone or tortoiseshell. (Cotterell 11)

Ancient India
Religion
Much of what we know about them today also came from sacred writing called the Vedas. The Vedas are mostly religious texts, but they also described famous victories of the Aryans as they invaded India. The religion of the ancient Aryans, known as Brahmanism, was polytheistic and heavily influenced the later development of Hinduism. (1500 BC Aryans)
Location
The Author wrote, that the Indus Valley civilization covered the modern-day country of Pakistan, the northwestern portion of India, and a bit of Afghanistan. I the region, under layers of dirt, people found remains of 4,000 year old cities. Around 5,00 years ago along an alluvial plain the civilization developed and it was close to a major water source. Writing
The writing is very different and cannot be deciphered but it is often found on pots, seals , and different types of material. People are not sure if the symbols that they used were a real form of their writing, therefore because it is decipherable we have very little information about them and their writing. Technology
The Indus Used sewer systems to keep their land clean. The people who lived in the Indus have created very well made cities. The architecture shows that the dock yards, warehouses, protective yards, and walls show that they were very good builders and they also cared a lot about their safety. (Architecture and Technology)
Government
A caste is a social group in which people are born and they cannot change. The caste system began because the Aryans had four social classes, which they called varnas. People were divided based on wealth and occupation. (1500 BC Aryans)
