Location in the text it said that the ancient Egyptians lived near the Nile River or in various canals coming off of it.This area was also called the black land because after flooding after there would be rich dark silt.(hart 8)
religion: The Egyptians worshiped hundreds of different gods and goddesses. many of the gods are represented by animals: a baboon might stand for thoth, the god of wisdom, at one temple. and a moon god named khonsu at another
Government: At great state occasions like royal jubilee celebrations or the giving of gifts to favored countries, the king and court gathered together, and the top officials ect, some of these countries were relatives of the king, someone high office through their ability as scribes (hart 12)

Writing Scribes hat to be experts at writing hieroglyphics an elaborate from the picture with about 700 different signs. It was deliberately kept complicated so that not to many people could master it. so that Scribes could keep there special position. Hieroglyphics were also used to state monuments, temples, tombs, ect. they could be written from left to right to top to bottom (hart 34)
The mesopotamians were writing down numbers over 5,000 years ago.The early civilizations of mesopotamia made astonishing advances in scholarship and learning,in astronomy, mathematics, medicine, geography and architecture
During the first babylonian empire students were using multiplication tables and calculating squares,square roots, cubes, and cube roots.Today's mathematics still use the old babylonian counting system, based on multiplies of 60, when they divide the circle into 360 degrees.

Writing: In the text it said Kings during the Shang dynasty used oracle bones to talk to ancestors.The people would use tortoise shells and ox bones in order to inscribe questions. The questions would be scripted in the bones. (Cotterell 11)

Religion: The author wrote that most of them followed either Hinduism and Brahmanism. Both of the religions have lot of things in common including some rituals. Most of what we know about them comes from a writing called Vedas. ( Prince Hall: World Studies)
Location: The Author wrote that the Indus Valley civilization covered the modern day country of Pakistan, the northwestern portion of India, and a bit of Afghanistan. In the region under layers of dirt, people found remains or 4,000 year old cities. Around 5,000 years ago along an alluvial plain, the civilization developed and it was close to a major water source.
