Writing: In the text it said that the oracle bone was a bone that was scorched until it cracked. After scorching the bone the cracks were read as answers to questions by the ancestors. After the cracks were read as answers the question was also carved into the ox shoulder or tortoise shell (Cotterell 11)

Ancient India
Writing: In the text it said that over 400 symbols were discovered from different locations. One of the most confusing aspects of this ancient civilizations is that the writing can't be deciphered. People have wondered whether these symbols actually constituted a paper writing system. (Prentice Hall: World Studies)
Architecture/Tech: The author wrote the people within the Indus valley created well-planned cities. These early cities show remnants of the first sanitation system. The advanced architecture and construction techniques of the Indus cities is also shown with impressive dockyards, granaries, warehouses, brick platforms, and protective walls. Location: An example is that over time a vast number of civilizations were built along the Indus River. The Indus river covers lots of South Asia including modern-day Pakistan, India, and a part of Afghanistan. The Indus river valley had good soil for agriculture. (Prentice Hall: World Studies)
Government: The graphic showed The Aryan civilization had a large impact on modern-day India society. A caste is a social group where people are born and they can't change. The caste system began because the Aryans had four social classes, which they called varnas. (Prentice Hall: World Studies)
Religion: In the text it said the Vedas are mostly religious texts, they also described famous victories of the Aryans. The religion of the ancient Aryans, known as Brahmanism, was polytheistic and heavily influenced the later development of Hinduism. Both religions have much in common and share many rituals.
