Mesopotamia
Architecture: On page 24 it said that a Ziggurat is a massive teraced platform made of brick. This is what a Ziggurat looks like. (Steele 24)
Writing: The author wrote that at first they used picture symbols to indicate objects like cattle, grain, or fish. they developed marks into a script representing sound and meaning. (Steele 12)
Location: I know because the land known as ancient Mesopotamia was located where modern Iraq is at today. Two great rivers, the Tigris, rise in Taurus Mountains to join Euphrates river (Steele 6)
Religion: In text it said They believed in many gods and goddess which means they are polytheistic. An example of something that they believed in is that they believed that the stars traveling across the night sky were cows of sin or nana, the horned moon god. (Steele 14)
government:The author said that leaders had all sorts of different titles such as lord, governor, or king. The regions are recorded on clay tablets. (Steele 10)
art: In the text it said that the Mesopotamians were great lovers of poetry, art, and music. It also said that the people of the village would enjoy informal music, dancing, story telling, sporting events, and games.

Writing: In the text it said the oracle bone was made from an ox bone or tortoiseshell. The bone or shell was scorched in order to uncover answers to questions.The Shang people used the oracle bone to communicate with their ancestors. (Cotterell 11)

Religion: In the text is said that they came from a sacred writing called the vedas which are mostly religious texts. The ancient Aryans study a religion of Brahmanism which was polytheistic and infulced in Hinduism. Both religious have much in common like they share many rituals. (Prentice HAll: World Studies)
