Examples of positive class climates
Students in the class show their respects when others are talking
Students interact actively(in a good way) in the class.
When a student makes mistakes, others help to correct it.
During the test time, everyone in our class take the test seriously and none of them cheat.
Examples of negative class climates
Teachers being extremely mean and strict, exerting pressure to students’ state of mind which eventually led some of them went suicide.
Students in the back falling asleep during class time.
Students using electronic devices when they are not supposed to.
Nobody is replying to the teacher's question, leaving teacher's status super awkward.
What is Norms and Rules? And how do they function?
Norms are something like criterion and expectations are similar to goals; a team can work together and work efficiently if they have the same expectation.
Rules refer to a set of explicit principles governing a group of individuals within a particular activity. As a result, the classroom can be easily managed.
How do they contribute in boosting the CC?
Marvelous expectations came up by students collectively can act as an incentive to supervise and urge themselves to work hard and be studious as well. This phenomenon would certainly develop an enthusiastic class climate eventually.
Explicit rules will make the students themselves more disciplined as they are conforming them both physically and mentally.
What does "CC" mean?
Every one is engaged in the discussion and they speak for their opinions.
