Mesopotamia
Religion: The Mesopotamian religion was Polytheistic,
which means they believe in more than one god. Some gods and goddess are Ninhursag the goddess of nature, Nintu the goddess of fertility land, and Inanna the goddess of war. (Steele 15)
Location: On page 6-7 it said Mesopotamia existed in Turkey, Syria, and southwestern Iran. Mesopotamia was also located next to two great rivers, the Tigris, which rises from Taurus Mountains as well as the Euphrates. (Steele)
Government: The Mesopotamian Empire was an Empire. I know this because it said in the text "Babylon first mentioned more than 4,300 years ago, as a city of the Akkadians Empire" This tells Me that it was an Empire. (Steele 30)
Writing: The Mesopotamians used Cuneiform as their writing system. Cuneiform is where you take moist clay tablets and write on them. Around 3300 BCE the citizens of Uruk used over 700 symbols. (Steele 12)
Art: Mesopotamians made Pottery for their Art. The Mesopotamians invented the potter's wheel. They bake they pottery over the fire. (Steele 28)
Architecture (buildings): In the text it said on page 25 it said like the ancient pyramids of central america, ziggurats formed of penict. The ziggurats of Ur was dedicatedMoon god Nanna Page 25
Ancient Egypt
Religion: The Egyptians were Polytheistic which means that they believed in more than one god or goddess. For example one God they believed in is Thoth, the Moon God that was half human half bird. 24 (Hart)
Location: The graphic shows that the people of Ancient Egypt lived on the sides of the Nile River where the floods made the land fertile. In the text it said that 90% of Egypt was covered by desert, which was named the "Red Land". (Hart 8)
Writing: The ancient Egyptians used Hieroglyphics. Hieroglyphics is the ability to elaborate pictures to writing. I know this because on page 34 it talks about the Hieroglyphics. (Hart 34)
Government: government. In the text it said that their rulers were called pharaohs who were also known as their kings and queens. Also it says that their longest pharaohs record was 94 years old when they became ruler at age six and lasted ninety-four years. (Hart 10).
Architecture: The Egyptian architecture was a Pyramid. The first Pyramid was built in 2650 B.C. and it had six stages. Some of the Pyramids were built as a staircase to visit the Gods and Goddess. (Hart 20)
Art: The Egyptian art was to make jewelry. They would put gold into molds to make it different shapes and sizes. Then, they would attach it by soldering it to the object. (Hart 56)
Egyptian Gods: The Egyptians were Polytheistic, which means that they believe in more than one god. Some of the gods and goddess were Anubis who was the god that watched over the embalming process. Then, Osiris the god of the underworld, who decided if you would go into the afterlife or not. Next, You have Khnum, the god of hazardous cataracts. Lastly we have Thoth, the god that gave the egyptians the knowledge of writing, medicine, and mathematics. (Hart 24, 25)
Egyptian Mummification: The Egyptians Mummified the important bodies of their Kingdom. They would make a "Ka" which they thought could bring the corpse back to life.

writing - In the text it said the oracle bone was made from an ox bone or tortoiseshell. The bone/shell was scorched in order to uncover answers to questions.The Sang people used the oracle bone to communicate with their ancestors. (Cotterell 11)
