There are countless societal beliefs regarding education. Some people believe that if you don't go to college you will not be successful. This often leads to not being able to find jobs or having trouble sticking with one.
Living in a certain society or community will often influence your personal beliefs. An example of this would be the FLDS Church, this is because they broke off from the Mormon Church when they outlawed polygamy.
People help the environment by using alternative energy such as hydroelectricity and solar pannels.
Our geography often influences where things are. An example of this being is that most major cities are on a coast.
