OBSERVATION AS A LEARNING TOOL
It is about being an observer in the language learning classroom and learning from the observation of classroom processes.
Observation is a multi-faceted tool for learning.
It also includes preparation for the period in the classroom and follow-up from the time spent there.
THE TEACHER
What is important is that the teachers involved are interested in teaching, in particular, their knowledge of the various processes that occur.

:pencil2: WHAT ARE OBSERVATION TASKS?
:star: WHY TASKS?
:pencil2: Is a focussed activity to work on while obscrving a lesson in progress. It focusses on one or a small number of aspects of teaching or learning.
:star: Using an observation task helps the observer in two important ways: It limits the scope of what one is observing and allows one to focus on one or two particular aspects, such as listening only to a certain type of question.
WHY OBSERVE?
:check: It helps teachers gain a better understanding of their own teaching.
while at the same time retines their ability to obseve, analyse and interpret, an ability shich can also be used to improve their owr teaching.
:check: It is an underlving prsmse of this book that the development of the skills of alserving is integral to the pracesses of prolessional decision-making in which reachen are constantls involved.
