here is to give your brain the time to alternate between the modes

When we truly learn something it goes to the long term memory where we can recall the information later in life
Technique to master long-term learning
Spaced repetition
Tips/steps:
1.
Within 20-24h review the material but trying to recall from memory first
2.
Two days after try to recall the information while doing another activity
3.
Afterwards, every 24-36h give yourself short tests to see if you can remember
4.
Speed read your notes and recall
5.
(Before test) Take a day to fully review the material
Quick info about Short-Term Memory
You can only focus on a couple of things using working memory because you have to conscientiously think about what you're doing. When you learn long-term you no longer have to conscientiously think of what you're doing leaving space for more tasks
