        During day time (Bright light): The rate of photosynthesis is more; During dim light - The rate of photosynthesis and respiration are equal; During night time (Dark) - Only respiration takes place.
        
        This concludes that plants purify air during day time because rate of photosynthesis is higher - more amount of carbondioxide is taken in and more amount of oxygen is given out.
