electric field strength at a point is the force per unit positive charge that acts on a stationary charge.

when there is a uniform field between charged parallel plates
field strength = potential difference / separation

if a +ve charge moved in direction of electric field, its electric potential will decrease
and vice versa
if charge accelerates in the field, its electric potential energy will be converted to kinetic energy
