Snow white, Cinderella, Bimbo

Bimbo is

a successful brand name in the international market

stretching its corporate arms north and south.

a clear example to demonstrate the difficulties of marketing across borders

Bimbo

acquired well-known companies in US and is the most popular brand of bread in Mexico

creates fear with the other small companies which want to succeed in this market

There is a controversy

has bought some brands in US like Sara Lee and Best-foods and in Latin-America, Fargo (Argentina)

because Bimbo as the leader on this market and its influence and power don´t permit the new openings of other Mexican owned supermarket chains

Due to the nationalism.

In LA they refuse to open Bimbo’s stores because they don’t want Disneyland to be related to this Mexican brand.

American firms have been in troubles about expanding their businesses internationally.

For example, French farmers make protests because they don’t want to be controlled by Americans companies

This is not an actual issue, it had happened since too many years ago.

This is the example of the cars’ brands, where the US car’s importations refuse Germany cars and only accepted the Japanese ones.

Another example of nationalism is the case of PEMEX which is a gas Mexican company that doesn’t permit US investments in the Mexican gas industry.

like Gigante and it is caused by problems about racism, xenophobia and nationalism.
