Compassion
Buddhists believe that showing compassion is very important and that you should try to imagine yourself in the shoes of someone who is suffering.
Siddhartha/Buddha
Who was Siddhartha?
Siddhartha was a rich prince who had never seen suffering before until he left his palace. When he saw a sick person, an old person, and a dead person wanted to become enlightened so he set out into the woods to starve himself. He did this for a long time but it was not working for him. One day he saw a music teacher showing their students how much to tighten the strings on an instrument, the music teacher told the students to not tighten the string too much or it would break but if it was too loose it couldn't play, these words helped Siddhartha find the middle ground on his path to enlightenment and he eventually reached it and became the Buddha.
