Hindusim
Hinduism was the original belief before buddhism, the only reason buddhism is a thing is because budds/siddhartha had a different set of beliefs that differ from those of hinduism. Hinduism is the belief that you can reach our god by pursuing multiple different paths. These paths however take a crazy amount of dedication and time. Most of these followers of hinduism have been studying it their whole lifes.
The four stages of spiritual evolution. At the first spot we have sariyai. In this stage a person must devote their time and thoughts to a deity. This means they must find alove for their god for them to be able to move onto the next stage. The 2nd stage of spiritual evolution is kriyai, this stage is harder then the first one to complete, one must devote even more time to worshiping their god. you must also have a need to be one with a supreme consciousness. The 3rd stage is called yogam, in this stage one must be able to bring their mind to a complete stand still, total silence in order to catch a glimpse of the supreme devinne god. The final stage and by far the hardest is called the jnanam, after you have completed the 3 other stages this one is using the inner teachings you found while going through the other stages in order to reach moksha. one must be able to enter the void while completely standing still. The void is a place of creation and manifestation. once you can enter the void and find the true meaning of your hard work then you have been enlightened

shared beliefs
The hindus and buddhists had certain beliefs that were meaningful in both religions. For example both religions had karama, karma is the reward you get for doing positive things in the world. also they had drama. Most sources refer to darama as the "cosmic laws' '. These laws can also be referenced as the 8th fold path. This word helps you achieve enlightenment. Last but not least we have samsara, this the belief of reincarnation, this means you just move on to the next life after you die. there is no heaven or hell it's just the next life

caste system
The 5th and final caste is the brahman, these are usually religious figures and education teachers. They are treated with the utmost respect and they are continuously tended to by their many servants.
the caste system is composed of four levels, first we have the untouchables. These people are outcasts from society. they are treated very bad and most of them don't have any jobs
the second caste is the sudra, these people are sevents and comminers. nothing really special about them they just do the dirty work.
The 3rd caste is the vaishya, these people genreal own some sort of land or are merchants, most people generally fall into this caste.
the 4rth caste is the kshatriya, these people are warriors and kings. they are treated like royalty and they oftentimes eat the best food, have the best women and many other luxuries
When the budda was born it is said that the world was flooded with light, the blind could now see and many more issues where resolved.
Now as good of story as this is, it's not all true. the actual start of buddhism was the birth of prince siddhartha. He was born into a royal family in Lumbini,Nepal. Growing up in wealthy family meant the young prince had never felt what it was like to be a lower class citizen. When Prince Siddhartha wanted to go out and explore the world and truly find the meaning of life his father ( The KIng) Disapproved of the young princes choices. SO the king set up a parade for the prince, mid way through the parade the young prince hopped of his seat and wandered the streets of his kingdom. There he found the 4 sights
The 4 sights, these my possibly be the only reason that buddhism was created. the young prince had just now come across the first sight. He had seen a old person. he had not known about growing old so nthis was quite a shock to him. Once he had gotten of the idea of age his journey contunied through the kingdom where he had come across a sick person. He looked petrified becuse he had no clue people where suffering like this, he couldnt stand the sight of watching this human suffering. this was the 2nd sight. the 3rd one is argubily the most enfulential sight of them all, the young prince had come across a dead person. He had realized that there was more too life then the phiscal body. there was a spirt that aceded to something more beyond the phiscal relam. the 4th sight was a wandering ascetic. a ascetic is someone with a spirtual goal in mind. in buddhisum this ascetic was most likely follwing one of the paths of enlightenment.
The young prince was so shocked by these four sights that he had to go find what more life has to offer, in the dark of the night the young prince had kissed his loved ones goodbye and he snuck out of his castle and started his journey to enlightenment. The young prince did not agree with hindu principles so he wanted to start his own philosophy. The young prince from there studied with his teachers and lived an ascetic life.
Prince Siddhartha meditated for 49 days uder neath the tree known as "Bo Tree", strange things in his mind every second. Although this sounds like the story of a champion , the young prince did not always have it easy. During his long meditation he had an evil demon by the name of Mara trying to tempt him with personal desire. whether that was sexual greed or wealth, but the young prince held his morals and did not give in to his personal desires. He knew that this mission he was on was more than just a personal goal, he knew the world needed this.

Compassion in the buddist religion is a very important thing. They believe that you should show compassion to every living thing. that's why most monks are vegan because they refuse to harm any animal. no for me i can not say the same. i don't know how i can live without steak, it's just too good.
KARMA
In the buddist religion, karma is a well renowned term referring to the act of sending positive energy into the universe by doing good actions and not allowing negative things to impact one's state of mind. Karma is something that you can apply to ur own self being everyday in order to improve ones ego and self dsiers, in the buddist religion most people in search of enlightenment value karma to such an extent that if it meant dieing to have good karma come ur way, they would take the risk. i don't speak for everyone but i have tremendous respect for the men and women who decided to dedicate their life to unknown goal, a goal witch the only way to know if u have lived up to this incredible set of standard they call enlightenment is the ultimate sacrifice.
The 8 fold path is a series of valus to the buddist religion. the list of the valus are
1.right understanding-2.right intent-
- right speech
4.right action5.right livehood6.right effort7.right mindfullness8.right conciintration
living by these belifs is one of the requirments to becoem enlightened, the buddsits lives very close to these valus. this is why these people are some the nicest most compassionet people on this earth.
Deities(Gods/Godess)
the first Deity i'm going to talk about is Brahma, Brahma is considered the creator of the vedas, essentially he would be the "god" except in hindu there a multiple gods that are essential to the religion. but Brahma by far is the most popular and interesting one in my opinion. he is responsibly for creating stuff, and is a key member the in the holy trinty.
The second deitie i'm going to be talking about is shiva. Shiva is the destroyer of evil. she is essential to the holy trinity and without her destruction there would be no room for the creation of life. he is very celebrated around the hindu religion and is cherished because of his uniqueness
Last but not least we have the final member of the holy trinity Vishnu. Vishnu is considered to be the protector of dharma( the natural order of things) and the gardien of men. he is very important due to the fact that he is believed to fight of the evil demons and bad spirits. he is the protector of life while the other 2 members of the holy trinity focus on the creation and destruction of it.
Vedas
The vedas are hindu scriptures, written in sanskrit. they help guide religious figures on the teachings of hindu. The best way to compare the vedas to something would be the bible. both of these are books where many years of a religions beliefs and culture is stored and preserved for generations of followers to adopt and purse these life styles
The Upanishads are a series of texts in the vedas, which hold secret lessons and religious teachings. There are about 180 to 200 of these "Upanishads' ' they all have a lesson in some shape or form, whether it is mental or physical. These are some of the oldest recorded religious texts in the world and are considered very sacred to their religion
Dalai lama
The dalai lama is one of the most honorable religious positions in the world, the belief that the dalai lama has lived forever and has always been reincarnated. The testing to be the next dalai lama is very demanding and is a way to find the true reincarnation of the dalai lama. the current dalai lama name is Lhamo Thondup
Bodhisattva
bodhisattva is a person who is on their way to reach buddhahood, or to become a buddha. These people have often dedicated a greater portion of their life to this goal and have sacrificed a lot to get where they are.
''what you have taken, has been from here. what you gave has been given here. what belongs to you today. belonged to someone yesterday"
