Maria- What 5 advantages and 5 disadvantages did "MERCANTILISM" have for the colonies and for England?
Advantages: Prosperous Country - Mercantilism helps profit which causes the country to become prosperous. Economic Growth, Jobs & Entrepreneurship,
Disadvantages: Consequences, the focus was on money,taking it away from human rights to will of people. Trade and commerce cannot be the only source of riches for a country’s well being.

Cass - How did the political, religious, economic and social ideologies of each colony influence their government?
New Jersey
New Jersey colony society was very diverse. This was because since puritans persecuted other religions, and they went to their own places. They eventually ended up in New Jersey were there was religious freedom and tolerance. The government first was propietary since it was founded by someone who bought the land to make it safe for religions and later it became a royal government. Church and state more separated than Massachusetts but not completely separated. The kind of government was constitutional monarchy
Massachusetts
People in Massachusetts colony were a very closed minded society. There was no religious tolerance, and they would persecute anyone who did not share their believes. Therefore, the government was influenced greatly by the church. The colony was self governing /christian theocratic
Virgina
Virgina colony was the first colony in America to establish a council. it was made up of seven men. And soon it became the first representative government in the European colonies. There was religous freedom but the majority of the people followed the Anglelican church. They believed firmly in slavery and it was one of the biggest economy incomes since they africans worked their farms and plantations. The government here was Constitutional monarchy.
North Carolina
North Carolina colony was recognized a colony until the 1700's. This made the colony develop way slower than the rest. the propireitary lords, offered religous freedom therefore there were many religions. There was confusion in the government until 1729 when a stable government was settled. The society in this colony approved of slavery. the government type was proprietary colony and later it was royal government.
