The members of the league reunited in the sacred island of Delos, and they agreed to be prepared in case of a future Persian invasion with ships, armies and tributes. A mayor part of this ressources was used to reconstruct the city of Athens.

Somes cities were tired to pay tributes to the league so they rebelled and wanted their independence, Athens was the most powerful city and crushed the rebellions and destroyed the fortifications letting those cities completely vulnerable. Then Pericles, a new leader, first measure was to bring to Athens the alliance treasure. The golden age begun.

The government of Athens had several people for political decisions. The people were very active in this, everything was discussed with the Ekklesia to later be decided by the competent people and entities. We can see that the people had a strong voice in the government

LIMITATIONS
