side note:
Whilst researching, I found out that most horror stories originate from ancient Greece (at least in Europe), and these stories would often focus on the afterlife, death, evil, demons, and the principle of the thing embodied in the person
Isolation is often found as an horrific elements. In terms of evolution this makes sense as humans have evolved to always stick in groups, as it is what kept humans alive has they evolved. This is why in most movies, or games even though the people playing, or watching know it is stupid, the creators will often try to split up the characters.
