Inquiry groups engage with standards and practices, investigate how we are doing and develop descriptors for assessing our practice
Inquiry groups and PYPc assess progress at regular intervals and ensure that evidence is collected. The Action Plan is updated to guide the next steps.
PYPc in collaboration with staff identify areas for professional development and organises/monitors
Self-study
Inquiry groups write conclusions (achievements and challenges) and provide evidence collected demonstrating progress over the entire period
Feedback from inquiry groups directly feeds into the completion of the self-study questionnaire
Self study questionnaire is submitted along with supporting evidence by the PYPc
Evaluation
PYPc negotiates with IB to arrange visit
PYPc and school administrators organise agenda, logistical support as hosts
Evaluation visit takes place and exit meeting conducted between IB and school leadership and PYPc
Report
Report received containing commendations and recommendations
School leadership shares findings with school community
Recommendations incorporated into action plan by PYPc
If necessary, school gathers evidence and submits response to matter to be addressed (PYPc & Inquiry groups)
