The Scourging
Jesus was scourged by the Roman soldiers.
The victim was stripped, bound to a pillar, and lashed until the flesh is seen.
Mocking of the King
Roman soldiers mock the victim with verbal insults and cruel jokes.
In Jesus' case, there were 600 soldiers that took part in the mockery.
The soldiers stripped Jesus clothes off and put on a purple cloak which indicates kingship.
Put a crown of thorns on Jesus' head.
Put a reed in His hand.
The Crucifixion
Friday, 7 April 30 A.D. @ 9 a.m., Jesus was executed.
Crucifixion - a form of Roman execution; the most painful amongst other execution; usually for the most heinous criminals
The Third Hour
Third hour - 9 a.m.
Sixth hour - 12 p.m.
Ninth hour - 3 p.m.
Death of Jesus
Darkness covered the whole land for three hours from 12 PM until 3 PM.
@ 3 PM, Jesus spoke the words of Psalm 22 : "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

Divinity of Jesus
